Peru to facilitate professional degrees validation to Venezuelans

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Peruvian government will facilitate the validation of professional degrees for Venezuelans in a Peruvian national university to allow migrants to integrate into the labor market.

During a press conference, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Peru, the head of the ministerial cabinet, Aníbal Torres, stated that they seek to continue with the advances to give Venezuelan migrants opportunities to have a better quality of life by getting a better job and that this is in the profession they studied in their country.

“There are Venezuelan people who have an honest, decent life; according to the legal system, there are even professionals. And in this respect, we are also going to work on how to facilitate so that Venezuelan professionals can revalidate their degrees in national universities so that they can work in the country,” he said.

He added that the authorities of the National Superintendence of University Higher Education of Peru will work together with the universities and will be in charge of detailing the procedures to follow to comply with this provision, according to La República.

Regarding migrants detained for committing any crime in the country, Torres stated they would be brought to justice and returned to Venezuela.
