Argentina takes its “Marca País” project and rewards the dissemination of its culture in Italy

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Government of Argentina has taken its “Marca País”, the project that seeks to promote Argentine gastronomy, culture and tourism throughout the world, to Italy, after having already brought it closer to Spain.

The Argentine Marca País is a State policy that was promoted by the Executive of Alberto Fernández in December of last year and that seeks to spread the identity and culture of the country in the world, through its traditions, its culture and its products.

“We are making an (international) tour to be able to show the potential of Argentina, all the differential attributes that the country has, and in this framework we are mapping the different Argentine restaurants in the world, we select the best ones and we give them the distinction for promoting and strengthening Argentine gastronomy,” Vice Minister Martínez explained to Efe.

After awarding two restaurants in Spain, Argentina now distinguishes this space in Rome, where the gastronomy, the decoration, the furniture, the products displayed in the windows and the music that plays are totally Argentine.

Along with them, the Italian partner Fabio Acampora has also been recognized, with the title “friend of Argentina, who are the people who trust and believe in the country and bet through different investments in different parts of the world, promoting Argentine products”, added the vice minister.

The Argentine embassies in the world transmit to the Government which are the spaces that are potentially worthy of their official recognition and then the Government studies them and makes a decision within four months.

The Fernández Executive is trying to recover international tourism in Argentina, hit hard by the pandemic just as it has happened in the rest of the world, and is promoting its cultural, social and natural wealth on the different continents.

“We are promoting the Natural Route, to show the diversity that crosses the entire country and we are trying to resume international connection flights,” since many airlines interrupted these routes due to government restrictions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

On this trip to Italy, the vice minister also recognized ex-soccer player Javier Zanetti in Milan with the title of “Argentine ambassador” for the work carried out by his foundation, created in 2001 and which helps the social recovery of poor children in the country .
