Foreign investors withdraw R$7.67 (US$1.51) billion from Brazilian stock market in April

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Foreign investors withdrew R$1.74 billion from the secondary segment of B3 (already listed shares) on April 29, when the Ibovespa index fell 1.86%.

As a result, the Group ended the month of April with a negative balance of R$7.67 (US$1.51) billion. Year to date, the surplus stands at R$57.65 (US$11.3) billion.

Also, on April 29, private investors contributed R$384.6 million net to B3, narrowing the annual deficit to R$6.58 billion. In April, the balance was positive at R$4.97 billion.

Institutional investors contributed R$1.13 billion on the same day, reducing their deficit to R$63.51 billion in 2022 and R$2.44 billion in the month.
