Covid-19: Brazil is now considered high-risk by Germany

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – With the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases worldwide, Germany has made changes to the list of countries considered to be “high risk”. As of next Sunday (01/23), Brazil will be part of it. With the inclusion, some entry rules for tourists change.

Starting Sunday, Brazilians will need to fill out the “Digital Information on Entry” form before the flight to present at check-in.

Another change that has occurred and that is not related to the change in Brazil’s classification is that passengers who have taken a dose of the Janssen vaccine will only be accepted if they have had a booster dose with the Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) vaccines at least 14 days ago

despite the European Medicines Agency’s recommendation to accept all WHO-approved vaccines, Germany has not yet accepted the Sinovac/Coronavac vaccine.

Check the rules for entry into Germany from 23/01/2022:

Fill out the “Digital Information on Entry” form before the flight, to present at check-in;
Present proof of complete vaccination, in English, French, Italian or Spanish, with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen (with booster dose with Janssen, Moderna or Pfizer), Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) vaccines at least 14 days before boarding (does not apply to children under 12 years old).
