Brazil leads in the top ten world soccer clubs ranking

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – An update of the classic IFFHS Men’s World Best Club 2021 ranking has been published. It is the first time in the ranking’s history that a Brazilian club (Palmeiras) has reached the first position.

In addition, there are four Brazilian teams in the top ten: Palmeiras, Mineiro, Flamengo, and Athletico Paranaense.

The first Argentine team to appear on the list is River Plate in 52nd place, dropping 11 places compared to the previous year.

Nine places lower, at 61st, is Boca Juniors, which also dropped three places.

Argentina’s Defensa y Justicia, in 64th place, climbed 19 positions.
