Teacher in Brazil’s São Paulo walks around school in Ku Klux Klan costume

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – A video posted on social networks shows the man wearing the white tunic and mask characteristic of the Ku Klux Klan.

The recording, which lasts only a few seconds, shows the teacher walking among the students wearing the Ku Klux Klan costume.

The teacher is the only person in costume out of all the people seen during the video, so it is ruled out that the outfit is part of a school event.

The Ku Klux Klan is a racist, anti-Semitic and anti-communist movement, which united reactionary groups under the banner of “white supremacy”, founded in the 19th century in the southern United States.

The recording began to be shared on Monday, December 20. However, the exact date of the events is unknown.

It is known that the video was recorded at the Amaral Wagner State School in Santo André, a municipality in São Paulo, Brazil.

From the audios heard in the recording, everything seems to indicate that it was made by the same students of the Brazilian school.

BRAZILIAN CONGRESSMAN SHARED THE VIDEO

The video was shared by the Brazilian state deputy, Carlos Ginnazi, belonging to the Socialism and Freedom Party.

The deputy assured that the man disguised as a Ku Klux Klan member was a school teacher.

Carlos Ginnazi called the teacher’s Ku Klux Klan disguise unacceptable through his Twitter account and called on school authorities to take a stand against it.

“Unacceptable! I call on the Santo André Board of Education to take a stand against this racist and deplorable scene of a teacher dressed in Ku Klux Klan costume inside the Amaral Vagner State School. Racists, you will not pass! “wrote Carlo Giannazi on Twitter.
