RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Foreign Trade Indicator of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), Argentina has the highest growth in exports to Brazil with 71.3%, followed by Asia with 10.1%, the European Union with 9.8%, and China with 6.3%.
The rest of South America decreased its trade exchange by 9.6%. In comparison, exports to the United States fell by 13.8%, and the most significant decrease was recorded with Mexico with a 23.3% decrease, according to data from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
Considering the trade balance as a whole, the volume of Brazilian exports in November contracted by 15.6% compared to November of the previous year. From January to November, exports decreased by 2.2% compared to the same period in 2020.
On the other hand, imports into Brazil grew by 22.3% in volume in November, accumulating 23.8% in the year. The last but one month of the year saw a drop in the volume of Brazilian exports to China (-15.5%), the European Union (-7.5%), and Argentina (-5.2%), compared to the same period of the previous year.
On the other hand, the volume sold by Brazil grew to the United States (109%), other South American countries (19.2%), Mexico (5.6%), and other Asian countries (5.6%).
