Peruvian President promises legal certainty to investors

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The President of Peru, Pedro Castillo, reaffirmed on Wednesday (24) his commitment to generate fair and equitable economic growth for the people, with legal guarantees and clear rules for businessmen and investors.

“The challenges of this country are enormous and the shared challenges we have with you are enormous, but we are laying the foundations for a fairer and more equitable growth for the benefit of all Peruvians,” said Castillo while participating in the Peru MSMEs 2021 – 2022 seminar.

The President stated that his government is working to generate the conditions to attract large capital in areas such as agriculture, infrastructure and mining.

Castillo emphasized that the work of micro and small businesses is what sustains the country, for which he pledged to promote this productive sector (Photo internet reproduction)

“We guarantee legal stability and clear rules, I reiterate that there will be no arbitrary or unilateral decisions, we reaffirm our commitment to dialogue with the business sector and also with the communities,” he said.

Castillo emphasized that the work of micro and small businesses is what sustains the country, for which he pledged to promote this productive sector.

He said that the daily work of Peruvian entrepreneurs promotes productivity, employment, and they become the main allies against poverty and inequality. “The necessary steps are being taken for the Banco de la NaciÛn to be an agent of social development and inclusion, to grant loans to micro and small businesses that are not served by financial entities in the country,” he mentioned.

In this context, Chancellor Óscar Maúrtua reiterated that the Peruvian government guarantees stability and legal certainty to companies, a message that is ratified in international forums and before investors abroad.
