RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – “The Minister of Brazil, Gilson Machado, committed to work with his government to solve the flow of cruise ships with Uruguay and Argentina as requested by [Tourism] Minister Tabaré Viera [of Uruguay]. The issue involves country’s Ministry of Health [as a result of Covid-19],” tweeted the Uruguayan Ministry of Tourism.
The Tourism Ministers of MERCOSUR (Southern Common Market), comprising Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina, requested their Health counterparts to coordinate protocols for the Covid-19 pandemic for tourists entering the country by land.
