The Brazilian and Paraguayan police are investigating the murders and whether they are related.

The first to be killed was the councilman, who had been elected for the DEM. He was executed on Friday afternoon (8) while riding a bicycle. A few hours earlier, he had posted a video on social networks saying that he would ride his vehicle to some offices.

According to the Civil Police, the shots that hit the councilman were fired by a person who was on a motorcycle. Four .45 caliber ammunition rounds were collected at the scene, and at least one hit the councilman, who died on the spot.

The police collected image recording equipment to analyze what was captured in relation to the execution.
