RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – 556 days after it ended, Chile will officially resume its nightlife. This Thursday, September 30, the State of Catastrophe will end in the country, so that measures for the control of the Covid-19 pandemic, such as the curfew, are no longer permitted.
The State of Catastrophe began on March 22, 2020, when the pandemic started in the country and remained in force for a year and a half.

Although the curfew was appreciated at the beginning of the pandemic, in the last weeks, it was constantly criticized, especially by the food and beverage and night entertainment industry.
With this change, which will begin this Thursday night, there will no longer be any capacity restriction or time limits for pubs or restaurants to remain open, and public transportation will resume the fleet of night buses to meet a greater flow of people.
According to the Metropolitan Public Transportation Directorate (DTPM), during the operation of night services, 100% coverage will be prioritized in the primary connection routes of the city, with total range of 1,144 kilometers.
