Germany again bans entry to Brazilians vaccinated with Coronavac

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Germany has again banned the entry of Brazilians who have taken the Coronavac Covid-19 vaccine, after having released it last week.

Henceforth, the country will only allow entry to tourists vaccinated with immunizers approved by the European Medicines Agency, which is not the case with the Chinese vaccine. Only travelers vaccinated with Pfizer, Astrazeneca, Moderna and Janssen immunizers are allowed entry.

However, other European countries now allow entry to travelers from Brazil, provided they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19: Portugal, France, Switzerland, Croatia and Spain.

The only other European country that does not accept people vaccinated with the Coronavac is France. In all, entry is also granted without the need for quarantine upon presentation of a negative test for coronavirus.

The European Union Commission also provides a website with updated information on travel requirements for all 27 member states of the bloc and the 4 other countries in the Schengen zone (Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, and Liechtenstein).
