RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Azul will launch unprecedented routes connecting the interior of the country to the Northeast coast for the summer season, between December and January.
Sinop and Rondonópolis, in Mato Grosso, will have direct flights to Porto Seguro, in Bahia. Goiânia airport will have direct flights to Maceió, Natal and Salvador. More routes should be announced by the end of the year.
This expansion reflects the success of the “Verão Azul Conecta” project, launched between December 2020 and January 2021, which connected tourist destinations such as Paraty, Angra dos Reis and Búzios to Congonhas and Santos Dumont airports.
The fleet has different sized aircraft, depending on the destination, ranging from the Caravan, which holds 9 passengers, to the 214-passenger Airbus A320/21.
