RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – On Thursday (26), a major fire broke out in a warehouse in Barueri, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, bringing black smoke to the region.

According to firefighters, the fire broke out around 11:28 AM at a recycling plant on Rua das Antilhas in Jardim California. So far, 16 vehicles are on the scene, and there are no indications of victims yet.

The place, located near Rodovia Castello Branco, is an industrial area with several factories.
The causes of the fire have not yet been disclosed. Support teams from ENEL and CETESB (São Paulo’s state environmental company) are also on the scene.
