RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato have been confirmed for Rock in Rio 2022. The two performers are the first confirmed for the festival, which will take place on September 2 – 4 and 8 – 11, 2022, in the City of Rock in western Rio. This was announced by the organization on Tuesday (10).
Justin Bieber will be the main attraction on September 4; Demi Lovato will perform on the same day. The ninth edition of Rock in Rio was scheduled for 2021 but postponed because of the Covid 19 pandemic.
The 2022 edition will be the debut of Justin Bieber at Rock in Rio. The singer gave concerts in Brazil in 2011, 2013, and 2017. In March 2021, the singer released his sixth album “Justice” with a mix of romantic pop and Martin Luther King lines.
Demi Lovato will also make her debut at Rock in Rio in Brazil. The American has already performed at the 2018 Lisbon edition. Like Bieber, the singer has also released a new album in 2021 – the seventh in her career.
“Dancing with the Devil… the Art of Starting Over” was released along with a documentary that addresses the overdose she suffered in 2018 and revelations about sexual abuse.
