With this latest data, Bolivia accumulates 476,795 covid-19 infections and 17,935 deaths since the first cases were identified in March last year.

The report also reports 1,079 new cases recovered, totaling 412,909 people who have overcome covid-19 in the country.

Currently, there are 45,951 active cases, according to the bulletin.

Bolivia is in de-escalation of the third wave of contagions that began in May, and that reported more than 3,000 cases per day and more than a hundred deaths in the most critical moments.

The Ministry of Health announced that vaccination points would be set up in the central axis of Bolivia, which includes La Paz, Cochabamba, and Santa Cruz, to operate on Friday, which is a holiday in Bolivia for the 196th anniversary of independence.

So far, 2,923,829 people have been immunized with the vaccine against covid-19 with the first dose, while 1,786,354 have already been vaccinated with the second dose.

Since the end of January, the country has been applying a vaccination plan that began with front-line health personnel and has been progressively extended to include those over 18 years of age and pregnant women since the second week of July.

This immunization program includes Chinese Sinopharm, Russian Sputnik V vaccines, and those obtained through the United Nations Covax mechanism (Oxford-AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Janssen).
