RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – If you live in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro and believe that your city has the highest internet speed in Brazil, a new study shows that you are wrong.
Made by the network speed monitoring company Ookla, the city with the best landline internet is Goiânia, while Brasilia was at the top of the mobile internet speed ranking.
The average download speed on mobile internet networks in Brazil in the second quarter of 2021 was 32.73 megabits per second (Mbps), which puts Brazil in 76th position in the global ranking.
As for landline Internet, the average speed was 100.44 Mbps, which took Brazil to 46th position.
Below is the ranking of Brazilian cities that recorded the best download rates on mobile and landline networks in Q2 2021.
