Brazil’s Taurus wins international tender to sell 4,000 guns to Lebanese police

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Taurus (TASA3;TASA4) has sold 4,000 9mm caliber TS9 pistols to the Internal Security Forces (ISF), comprising the Lebanese National Police and Security Forces. The Internal Security Forces has a police force of over 40,000 officers.

The company was chosen to supply the weapons in an open bidding process, among  important global competitors, it announced.

The delivery of the products is expected to take up to 9 months after the contract is signed.

This is the first time that Taurus will supply this product to the Republic of Lebanon’s Security Force, further expanding the Brazilian brand’s presence in the Asian market.

“In this context, Taurus’ broad product portfolio and the renewal of its line of weapons with the launching of several models in recent years have attracted the interest of the consumer market, both in Brazil and abroad, contributing to the increase in sales volume and the positive evolution of revenue,” Taurus said.

According to the company, the TS series weapons feature an efficient sealing system against dust, sand and mud and are ideal for use by special forces under extreme conditions.
