BBB 21 winner Juliette Freire is Brazilian with highest engagement on Instagram

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Engagement is the way to assess interactions on a social media account, i.e., the number of likes and comments that the profile’s posts on can generate.

Just over a month after winning Big Brother Brazil 21 (BBB 21), Juliette Freire continues to grow on social networks. Her Instagram profile is the 4th most engaged in Brazil, more than soccer player Neymar and singers Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.

The data are from the Hype Auditor platform. The attorney and makeup artist is behind only Ariana Grande, Kylie Jenner, and Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of engagement in Brazil.

In number of followers, however, Juliette has 30.5 million fans, behind Neymar with 151 million followers.

Other than Juliette and the soccer striker, influencer Virginia Fonseca, comedian Whindersson Nunes and singer Anitta are the other Brazilian profiles in the top 20 of the engagement ranking, found in 9th, 14th and 16th places, respectively.

In late May, Juliette surpassed Sabrina Sato and became the most followed ex-BBB in the history of reality shows on Instagram. A social networks phenomenon, the Paraíba-born woman entered the reality show with fewer than 4,000 followers. Throughout the show she garnered over 23 million fans and continues to grow after the show ended on May 4.

In a recent interview, she said that she has been struggling with anxiety crises and that the sudden fame made her seek psychological counseling twice a week.

“I started experiencing an anxiety problem at the start of the pandemic, but it wasn’t something pathological, to be treated. Now it is very intense, I shake all over. I’m afraid of everything,” said the makeup artist in a recent interview.
