RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Uruguayan Minister of the Interior, Jorge Larrañaga, died this Saturday, according to the president of the South American country, Luis Lacalle Pou, in a message published on the social network Twitter.
“Jorge Larrañaga passed away. Very sad! I learned to love and respect him. He was loving even in the hardness of the battle. We competed, cooperated, respected each other. He was at his best. QEPD,” he wrote on the death of the 64-year-old minister.
According to sources from the National Party (PN, center-right), to which he belonged and one of the five that make up the government coalition, he died as a result of a heart attack.
