Brazil’s government allocates additional R$5.5 billion for Covid-19 vaccines

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – President Jair Bolsonaro on Monday issued a Provisional Measure to allocate an additional R$5.5 (US$1.05) billion for the production, supply and distribution of vaccines against Covid-19, the federal government said in a statement.

The government last year issued another provisional measure to allocate R$20 billion for the purchase of vaccines against Covid.
