Brazil’s first cryptoactive ETF debuts today at B3 exchange

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Hashdex, in partnership with Nasdaq, will start trading Brazil’s first ETF cryptoactive in Brazil today, April 26th at B3, the São Paulo stock exchange. Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index Fund has the Nasdaq Crypto Index (NCI) as reference and will be traded under the ticker HASH11.

The ETF reached over R$615 (US$112) million during the pre-offer booking period with coordinators, well above the R$250 million initial projection, making it the 5th largest ETF in equities at B3.

The offering settlement took place on April 22nd and the value of each of the fund’s shares totaled R$50, of which R$47.02 per share and R$2.98 for the entry fee.

The fund’s policy is to invest at least 95% in shares of the target index fund or long positions in the futures market, in order to reflect NCI’s performance.

The first issue was coordinated by Genial, Itaú Bank and BTG Pactual, with the special participation of BB Investimentos. Other agents authorized to negotiate the fund are Necton, Safra Corretora, Vitreo, Tullet Prebon, MyCap Investimentos, Easynvest, Órama Investimentos, Mirae Asset Global Investments, Guide, and Ativa Investimentos.

ETFs (Exchange Traded Fund) are investment funds that have, as the reference for the composition of their portfolio some index of a Stock Exchange. Among the characteristics of ETFs, it is important to highlight their potential for diversification, ease of negotiation, and passive management.
