RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The stocks of soybeans in China fell for the fourth consecutive week, reaching the lowest level since May, as delays in shipments from Brazil weighed on supply, according to information from consultancy Agricensus.
Last week, soybean stocks in the country fell 390,000 tons, to 4.66 million tons, down 1.28 million tons from the same period last month, but still up 1.41 million tons year-on-year, according to data from the China National Grain and Oil Information Center (CNGOIC) compiled by the consultancy.
“Soybean [ship] landings at ports are still low and the trend is for them to continue to decline,” the CNGOIC said.
