RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Chinese ambassador in Brasilia, Yang Wanming, said in an interview to GLOBO newspaper, that Brazilians are priority partners of China and will continue to be sp, despite the great imbalance between supply and demand for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and immunizers in the world.
“In this context, China’s internal demand is also enormous,” said the ambassador, by e-mail, adding that, even so, his government is sensitive to the Brazilian side.
“So far, China has delivered the equivalent of 56 million doses of vaccine and APIs to Brazil, and the number will grow further. In terms of volume and speed of deliveries, Brazil is ahead of the almost 50 countries that buy vaccines or (APIs) from China.”
According to the diplomat, the partnership is not limited only to actions against the coronavirus pandemic, but also to actions and investments planned by Beijing in the 14th Five-Year Plan, established for the next five years.
“We hope that the Brazilian side will continue to provide Chinese companies with an impartial, open, transparent, and non-discriminatory business environment,” he said.
