RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL ´- Brazil has registered a new record for daily Covid-19 deaths, with 2,286 people dead from the virus in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry on Wednesday, March 10th.
The country recorded 79,876 new Covid-19 cases, with more than 11.2 million total cases of the virus since the pandemic began, according to the official Health Ministry tally.
The Ministry of Health said on March 6th, that it foresees a “perfect storm,” with new strains, hospitals collapsing and vaccine shortages. Minister Eduardo Pazuello’s team expects an explosion in cases and fatalities in the period, with average daily deaths passing the 3,000 mark.
