First plane delivered to Brazil´s new Itapemirim Airlines lands in Natal

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL -On Friday night, February 19th, the Itapemirim Group confirmed the arrival of its first aircraft to be part of the new company, Itapemirim Transportes Aéreos. It will take off from Madrid and land in Natal, the capital of northeastern state Rio Grande do Norte, at 11:25 AM on Saturday, February 20th. The live stream will be available on the company’s Instagram profile.

The company plans to start flying in March and should serve the cities of São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto, Presidente Prudente, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Foz do Iguaçu, Florianópolis, Salvador, Fortaleza, Vitória and Goiânia.

“We are very happy because the complete schedule has been met to be certified by ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency)”, celebrates Sidnei Piva, Itapemirim Group’s CEO, who aims to serve all Brazilian capitals.

The aircraft, an Airbus A320, will remain in Natal for import procedures and then fly to São José dos Campos (SP) for painting and customization. Itapemirim Transportes Aéreos’ proposal is to provide aircraft with wider seat spacing and unique on-board service.
