Bolsonaro to Sign Provisional Measure Raising Brazil Minimum Wage by 5%

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro said that he would sign a Provisional Measure later on Wednesday raising the national minimum wage by 5.26% to R$1,100 (US$211.80) per month beginning on January 1st.

Bolsonaro said on Twitter that he would make the change via a Provisional Measure, valid for 60 days after issuance, but which requires Congressional approval to take permanent effect.
