Covid-19: Brazilian Capital Cities with Case Numbers per 100,000 Inhabitants

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Two weeks ago, an exclusive VEJA survey helped to compare the current situation of the novel coronavirus pandemic in Brazil, considering the population in each location. This time, the sample was based on the country’s capital cities. The calculation adopted is the rolling average per 100,000 inhabitants, which shows the scenario of each location considering the population variations in each one of them – which realistically shows which cities are suffering most from the disease.

The rolling average rate per 100,000 inhabitants found in the survey shows that Curitiba, capital of the Southern state of Paraná, is the best capital in relation to cases with a rate of only one.
