Brazil Records Another 263 Deaths and 15,726 New Covid-19 Cases (October 26th)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The country has 5,409,854 cumulative cases of Covid-19 since the onset of the pandemic. In 24 hours, a total of 15,726 cases have been recorded. The data were published on the Ministry of Health’s coronavirus website yesterday, October 26th.

The number of deaths increased by 263 and the total now reaches 157,397.

According to the Ministry of Health, 4,865,930 people who had Covid-19 have recovered from the disease. This represents 89.94 percent of the total number of infections. Currently, 386,527 patients are being treated throughout the country.

States most affected by Covid-19

The state of São Paulo accumulates 1,092,843 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 38,753 deaths.

Minas Gerais counts 349,512 confirmed cases since the onset of the pandemic. Of this total, 8,779 deaths were registered. According to the State Health Secretariat, 318,216 people have recovered from the disease. Currently, 22,517 patients are under follow-up.

In Bahia, of the 345,949 cumulative confirmed cases, 331,649 have recovered, 6,803 are active and 7,497 have died.

Rio de Janeiro has reached a total of 302,746 confirmed Covid-19 cases, with 20,213 deaths. There are a further 447 deaths under investigation and 278,383 patients have recovered from the disease.
