For years, many health plan operators have stopped selling individual plans because the National Supplementary Health Agency (ANS) regulations for price increases of this product are more restrictive than for corporate plans. But, with the rise in self-employment in the country, the cuts made by companies in employee plans, and the aging population, operators are again focusing on this market. With an emphasis on preventive medicine and their own network service, the new individual plans have been successful.

Qsaúde offers monthly coverage starting at R$246.39 and care at the Albert Einstein Hospital, one of the most expensive and best rated in São Paulo, depending on the plan hired. All clients will have access to Einstein Clinic’s family doctors, telemedicine and a team of nurses that will provide guidance on healthy habits and disease prevention. The family doctor will be responsible for the first patient attendance and referral to specialists, when required.

Seripieri Junior left Qualicorp, which he founded in 1997, last year. Creator of the collective health plan by membership – which can be contracted individually by professionals linked to any class group – the entrepreneur invested R$120 million in Qsaúde, which he chairs. “Our mantra is that the best way now is to have an individual plan that effectively cares for the client and protects his/her health”, says the new provider in a press release.
