Source: Bolsonaro Family Has History of Nearly R$1.5 Million in Cash Transactions

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Bolsonaro family’s terror of using the banking system to transfer money meant that at least R$1.5 million (US$300,000) was handled in cash, between receipts and payments.

This total includes information disclosed yesterday by reporters Juliana Dal Piva and Chico Otávio, that Rogéria Bolsonaro, the mother of the President’s three political sons, bought an apartment and paid for it with R$95,000 in cash in 1995, when she was married to Bolsonaro.

The family list of cash transactions also includes:

Flávio Bolsonaro

– He bought business premises in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, for R$86,700 in 2008, also in cash, through a bank deposit;

– He and his wife, Fernanda Bolsonaro, bought two properties in Copacabana, in Rio de Janeiro’s South Zone, for R$638,400 in 2012, also in cash, according to the Rio de Janeiro Prosecutor’s Office (MP-RJ);

– In 2014, also according to the MP-RJ, Flávio paid R$30,000 in ten cash deposits of R$3,000 for furniture in an apartment he bought in Barra da Tijuca;

– In 2017, R$96,000 were deposited in the accounts of the current senator, in numerous R$2,000 deposits;

– 53 school fees for Flávio and Fernanda’s children were paid between 2014 and 2018, also in cash. They total R$153,200;

– The senator’s family health plan was paid monthly, in a total of 63 cash receipts between 2013 and 2014, totaling R$108,400.

Fernanda, Flávio’s wife

-In 2011, she received a bank deposit from Fabrício Queiroz of R$25,000 in cash;

– She also received R$12,000 in cash, but the payer remained confidential.

Carlos and Flávio Bolsonaro

In 2009, Flávio and his brother Carlos paid R$31,000 in cash to cover losses they incurred in stock exchange investments through a brokerage house.

Ana Cristina Valle

– When married to Jair Bolsonaro, she bought 14 apartments, houses, and plots of land. In 2007, at the time of their divorce, they were valued at approximately R$3 million.  Five of these 14 properties were paid for in cash (two houses, one apartment, and two plots of land), all made in separate transactions between 2000 and 2006, which totaled R$243,300.

The amount may be even higher if the MP-RJ can prove its allegations that Flávio laundered up to R$1.6 million through his ownership of a chocolate store.
