RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Yesterday, June 14th, the Ministry of Health released new figures on the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in the country. According to a daily collection conducted by the portfolio, Brazil totals 867,624 confirmed cases of the disease and 43,332 deaths. The number of recovered patients stands at 388,492.
Over the past 24 hours, the Ministry has registered 17,110 new cases and 612 deaths.
Among the federative units with the highest cumulative number of cases since the start of the pandemic, the state of São Paulo recorded 178,020 confirmed cases and 10,694 deaths. Rio de Janeiro ranks second with 79,572 cases and 7,672 deaths. Next are Ceará (76,748 cases and 4,861 deaths) and Pará (69,179 cases and 4,191 deaths).
According to the Ministry of Health, 435,800 cases are under follow-up and 3,981 deaths are under investigation.
