RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The performance of the Rio de Janeiro governor is disapproved by 17 percent and that of the São Paulo governor by 19 percent; in these states, President Bolsonaro’s performance is disapproved by 39 percent and 43 percent, respectively.
The Datafolha survey released on Wednesday, April 8th, shows the following approval and disapproval of the actions against the coronavirus by the governors of Rio de Janeiro, Wilson Witzel, of São Paulo, João Doria and President Jair Bolsonaro in these two states.
Rio de Janeiro
Assessment of Witzel’s performance
Great or good: 55 percent.Average: 24 percent.
Bad or terrible: 17 percent.
Don’t know: three percent.
Assessment of Bolsonaro’s performance
Great or good: 34 percent.
Average: 25 percent
Bad or terrible: 39 percent
Don’t know: two percent
São Paulo
Assessment of Doria’s performance
Great or good: 51 percent.
Average: 27 percent.
Bad or terrible: 19 percent
Don’t know: four percent
Assessment of Bolsonaro’s performance
Great or good: 28 percent.
Average: 25 percent
Bad or terrible: 43 percent.
Don’t know: four percent
The survey was conducted between April 1st and 3rd with 528 residents of the state of São Paulo and 512 residents of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The interviews were conducted by telephone due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a disease caused by the coronavirus. The error margin is four percentage points plus or minus in each state.
