Waves Knock Out Another Stretch of Rio’s Niemeyer Avenue Bike Path

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The sea was rough in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday, April 4th. The powerful waves knocked out another stretch of the Niemeyer Avenue bike path.

Last year, the Courts ruled that Tim Maia’s bike path would be demolished unless it passed safety clearance.

In an interview, the former mayor of the city of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, said that the bike path had been a mistake of his government.
