Suspected Coronavirus Cases Increase from 433 to 488 in Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The number of suspected cases of infection with the new coronavirus, the Covid-19, has increased from 433 to 488 in Brazil, the Ministry of Health announced in a press conference on Tuesday, March 3rd.

The country still has only two confirmed cases, of a 61 and a 32 year old man, both in São Paulo. Of the suspected reports, 240 have been ruled out. Most of the suspected cases are reported in São Paulo with 130, followed by Rio Grande do Sul with 82, and in Rio de Janeiro with 62.

There are 88,948 confirmed cases worldwide, 1,804 of which are new yesterday. The virus is now present in 64 countries, with six new cases. The number of deaths has reached 3,043.
