However, the number is only for fans flying from Brazil using airlines and hotels booked until Tuesday, the day of the semi-final against Al Hilal.

While the ball has not yet rolled for Flamengo in the World Cup, the fans are partying in Doha.

A group of Brazilians experienced an unusual situation in another part of the city. They sang the song “first mistakes” in the Flamengo version in front of the Souq Waqif market, when, at the request of a local resident, they had to remain silent for a few minutes as prayer was being held at a mosque next door.

Should Flamengo beat its opponent, it will make it to the World Cup final on December 21st. The number of fans expected then rises and may reach 15,000 fanatics in Doha to watch the team led by coach Jorge Jesus.

Several red-and-blacks are already in the capital of Qatar to follow the team.

On Sunday, Flamengo held their first training session in Doha, focusing on their debut in the World Cup. After gym work, the players took to the pitch, but only 15 minutes of this activity were opened to the press.
