The vehicles delivered are white and feature a new design, based on international models with fewer patterns, thus reducing purchase and maintenance costs, allowing for swift replacement when required. “It’s no longer coating; it’s sticking as the American police do. This makes it easier for vehicles to be restored in the event of an accident. As a result, we save about two days in repair time,” said the governor of São Paulo, João Doria, during the ceremony.

Approximately R$122.9 million (US$30.7 million) were invested in vehicle purchases, as well as 62 vehicles already delivered to the Fire Department at a cost of R$14.8 million. “We already have the best safety rates in the country. We need to invest in security. And for this to be achieved, the presence of police officers is required, with cars, motorcycles, community stations, and electric bicycles. That’s what makes the difference in terms of security,” he said.
