RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – This Thursday, July 25th, Rio city councilor Carlos Bolsonaro discussed the change in Brazil’s image in other countries. In one publication, he emphasized advances promoted by the administration led by his father, President Jair Bolsonaro.
“Brazil has been showing its new face to the world and little by little it has been recovering international confidence, which leads to the generation of revenue, employment, and social development here. The process of resuming growth is long and time-consuming, but the first steps have been taken,” he said.
Carlos’ statements were based on information from the Brazilian Association of Corporate Travel Agencies (Abracorp) over the increase in business travel to and within the country, which grew by 14.7 percent in the first half of the year, against the same period last year.
According to the agency, the sale of air and bus tickets, in addition to hotel stays, car rental, and corporate tourism events totaled R$5.57 (US$1.46) billion, compared to R$4.85 billion in the first six months of last year.
