Dollify App Goes Viral in Brazil and is Among the Most Downloaded in App Stores

By Contributing Reporter

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Dollify, an App that allows the building of an avatar resembling a doll, has gone viral in Brazil and is on trend lists on App Store and Google Play, the leading App shops.

More than 10 million downloads of the App have been registered on Android alone.

By downloading the App, which is free, one can get customizable features such as hair, clothing, skin tones, and even accessories such as earrings. All of this helps to build a virtual avatar, with enough resources to retain many similarities to the real person.

Some of the features are paid and cost around R$27 (US$6.75) in the Google store. Many users shared their creations on social networks and also displayed the “dolls” they built of friends and relatives.

The premium version allows access to exclusive tools and also removes watermarks from images.

On Apple’s App Store, it has helped drive other similar Apps, such as iDolly, which also features on leading free apps lists.

Dollify is designed by an independent developer named David Alvarez who lives in Costa Rica. This is the first and only App linked to the developer’s accounts through the App Store settings.
