In another concert aimed at popularizing classical music – after the recent tributes to Tim Burton and Pink Floyd by ‘Orquestra Petrobras Sinfônica’ (Petrobras Symphony Orchestra) – it is now the turn of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra to play some of the best-known scores in cinematic history, including Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Star Wars and E.T.

The orchestra will be conducted by American resident conductor Lee Mills, alongside Daniel Guedes, who will also be performing as a violin soloist. This performance will also feature a collaboration with the ‘Orquestra Sinfônica de Barra Mansa’ (Barra Mansa Symphony Orchestra).

The program will be divided into two halves, with the first half devoted to some of Williams’s most recognizable compositions, such as ‘Raiders’ March’ from Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, ‘Adventures on Earth’ from E.T., and the themes from Jurassic Park, Jaws, and Superman.

The second half of the show will feature a more in-depth showcase of Williams’s compositions, with three pieces from Steven Spielberg’s ‘Schindler’s List;’ the famous tango arrangement from the 1992 film ‘A Scent of a Woman;’ and to finish the show, five compositions from the Star Wars film series.
