RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – This Saturday, September 1st, and Sunday, September 2nd, Rodrigo Teaser will be presenting his acclaimed ‘Tributo ao Rei do Pop’ (Tribute to the King of Pop) Michael Jackson tribute show, at the Vivo Rio Arena in Glória.
Rodrigo Teaser began to imitate Michael Jackson at the age of nine and appeared on Brazilian children’s TV shows such as Angélica, Mara Maravilha and others. He has been perfecting his act ever since to become one of the most respected Michael Jackson tribute acts in the world.
After the death of Michael Jackson, Teaser had the idea of producing a mega tribute show that would contain all the elements and musical numbers that the original ‘King of Pop’ featured in his shows.
Tributo ao Rei do Pop was born, a show that today is considered the greatest Latin American Michael Jackson tribute and one of the largest in the world. This is a production with live band, dancers, costumes, special effects, scenic lifts and much more.
In this tribute, all of Jackson’s classics such as ‘Beat it,’ ‘Smooth Criminal,’ ‘Thriller,’ ‘Billie Jean,’ and ‘Black or White’ and many others are performed live by Rodrigo Teaser and accompanied by a live band, giving the audience a performance as close to the original as possible.
To reach this result, it took two years of research and investment to get as close to the reality of watching a real Michael Jackson show as one can get. The concert has already toured Mexico, Uruguay and Paraguay as well as much of Brazil. Now it triumphantly arrives back in the Cidade Maravilhosa.
This is a perfect night out for those missing the excitement of Rock in Rio, or the appearences of big international pop stars such as Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande and Harry Styles.
