This weekend, O Cluster celebrates its fifth anniversary in Centro with a free and diverse cultural line-up, photo internet recreation.

Launched five years ago, O Cluster is an arts and cultural platform run by diverse entrepreneurs who aim to advance Rio’s creative industry and enhance its artistic independent scene.

“O Cluster is a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences. The goal is to promote an exchange between the audience and the representatives from Rio’s creative chain”, says Carolina Herszenhut, the project’s founder.

Marking O Cluster’s fifth anniversary, this edition promises to bring an eventful line-up for the weekend, including live music, artistic performances, exhibitions, culinary and handicraft stalls.

Among the musical attractions, the Mulheres de Buço band is one of the great highlights. Winner of the award “Prêmio Espíritu Libre Novos Sons”, Mulheres de Buço brings theater, music and a strong feminist discourse to Casa França Brasil on Saturday, November 11th, at 8PM.

After Mulheres de Buço, DJs Lili Prohmann, Andrei Yurievitch, Vinicius Tesfon, Diogo Reis and Badenov will be running the dance floor until late hours. On Sunday, November 12th, DJs Calbuque, Icaro Dos Santos, Léo Torres, Galalau, Nado Leal and Luiz Ratón will be in charge of the pick ups.

For the first time, O Cluster will also take place at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, which will host the first “Mostra Cine O Cluster”, a film exhibition dedicated to themes like female entrepreneurship, creative economy and immigration. All the movie sessions will be followed by debates.

Diverse slow fashion brands can be found at the event, including Saynalô, Par, Ramblas, Pano, Poch, Benedito and Carioqui. Food trucks like Tribo Gelatos, Art Burger and Tutto Nhoque will also be present at O Cluster.

According to Herszenhut, O Cluster’s organizers plan to take the event to other Brazilian cities in 2018.
