Rio Sabor & Arte’s first edition happened only a week ago, having brought food trucks, dance performances and live music to the Garota de Ipanema’s park, in Arpoador.

After its successful debut, the event invites the audience to enjoy the best of Rio’s artisanal beer labels, handmade food and independent music in the Lagoon’s outdoor area, from 12PM to 10PM.

On Saturday, September 4th, graffiti artist João Pedro Ridiz will be the highlight of the visual arts’ line up. Using Rio de Janeiro’s urban and natural elements as inspiration, the 16 year-old artist will be doing live painting at the venue from 6PM. A caricaturist and handicraft brands, like Cerâmica Nozes, will also participate in the event.

As the main musical attraction, the Radio Graviola webradio will play on the three days of event. Winner of the “Prêmio Profissionais da Música” (Music Professionals Award) in 2016, nominated to the “Prêmio Associação Paulista de Críticos da Arte 2016” (São Paulo’s Art Critics Association Award) and semi-finalist of “Prêmio Brasil Criativo 2016” (Creative Brazil 2016), the renowned webradio will bring a setlist with the latest from pop, rock and MPB independent music.

Over twenty food stalls will be present at Rio Sabor & Arte, including Suco Raizes’ natural juices, Monstertruck’s handmade burgers, Infarinata Massas’ Italian pasta, Brigadeiria Aconchego’s Brazilian sweets, Jalapeño’s Mexican food, Paradis’ French sweets, Boteco Dona Clara’s Brazilian dishes, among others.

One will also find a great variety of Brazilian artisanal beer labels, mostly from Rio and São Paulo. Backer, Krug, Noi, zer09, Old school, Thirsty Hawks, Farm Brewery, Birra Novata, Mistura Classica, Primata and Paulistânea are some of the participant labels, and prices vary from R$4 (glass of draught beer) to R$30 (bottle).

Rio Sabor & Arte was created by culinary curator and event producer Gueta Ridzi, one of the pioneers of Rio’s culinary markets.
