Rio Carnival Continues with DPP Pool Party at The Mansion: Sponsored

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Renovated Portuguese colonial house The Mansion, Santa Teresa will host its third consecutive night of Carnival celebrations on Sunday, February 26th. The space will host a fourteen hour-long pool party, with live music and entertainment, scheduled to run through the night.

As the sun sets on Sunday evening, The Mansion will pair its scenic surroundings and views of Christ the Redeemer, Guanabara Bay and Sugarloaf Mountain with Rio music collective DPP Diretoria. The group, through its blend of iconic samba, pagoda and MBP hits, aims to create a sophisticated, light-hearted atmosphere.

In addition to DPP’s show, DJs from Rio will also play a selection of hip-hop, R&B, trap, tropical house and Brazilian bass. “The festival will have the Carnival atmosphere, with a lot of animation,” says The Mansion’s publicist Maria Marta Mendonça. “But there’s always the option to dive in and renew your energy while enjoying the view…”

Other acts scheduled for the party, which will run from 2PM until 4AM, include Leblon-based group Bloco Areia, Cadinho and Carol Emmerick, both of collective The BlackHaus Crew, plus performers Ale Messina and Bruna Lennon.

Mendonça advises bringing swimwear as well as Carnival costumes make the most of the evening’s opportunities. The Carnival spirit will be in full swing with games including flipcup and beer pong, as well as spectacular views of the Santa Teresa neighborhood from The Mansion’s infinity pool.

As well as drinks promotions on beer, vodka and cachaça, guests are advised to arrive hungry for chef Marcelo Gazzarini artisanal burgers, served from a food bike. As with Saturday night’s celebrations at The Mansion, Gazzarini will also be providing a range of sweet, savoury and vegan tapioca options from R$18 for those seeking a lighter snack.

Tickets should be purchased online prior to the event, priced at R$50 for women and R$70 for men.
