Inspired by festivals including Bonaroo, Coachcella, and Way Out West, DoBem, the festival’s creators, wanted the #RockTheMountain festival to bring together nature, youth, modernity, sustainability, gastronomy, style and fun, in addition to hosting some of the most promising names in national and international indie music.

“The DoBem Festival #RockTheMountain was born with the hope of bringing to Brazil the true festival experience, in the mold of what we’ve see around the world,” said event producer Ricardo Brautigam in a release. “The choice of the mountain was inspired by this concept of an immersive festival, a place where people have to travel, to gather the gang to go to a place close to nature, and to live and experience a different kind weekend.”

In addition to the performances, the festival will include a bungee-jump, manned balloon rides, food trucks, artists exhibition and more free attractions. Itaipava lies close to Teresópolis and the imperial city of Petrópolis approximately two hours from Rio de Janeiro.
