This week, Cineclube presents an Italian documentary, “Passo a Due” (Step Two) by directors, Teresa Laropoli and Margherita Pescetti. Laropli will be present at the event alongside one of the main characters Antonia Mattiuzzi to chat and mingle with attendees after the documentary has been screened.

Guests will have the opportunity to know more about the story behind the film, the making of the documentary and ask questions. The documentary will be shown in Italian with English subtitles.

The documentary tells the life experiences of two women in their eighties who are adventure partners for more than forty years. It’s a touching portrait of their lives that turns into a stimulus and learning experience for newer generations of women.

Cineclube is held at The House that is located in Cosme Velho. When not hosting the monthly screenings held by the Cineclube, The House is a center of creation and production in the areas of architecture, design and arts where professionals from various backgrounds and cultures come together to work and create in an inspiring and natural setting.

The event on Saturday is free to attend with Cineclube accepting voluntary contributions from guests. The exhibition will be screened in a relaxed, outdoor setting on the large patio under the open sky. However, in case of rain, the event will continue in one of The House’s artistic rooms indoors.

There are limited spaces and places usually fill up quickly. To be one of the fifty possible guests, reservations can be made on the Facebook Event page where attendees need to request to join before writing their name on the event page wall.
