RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Bolsonaro left the Santa Catarina coast by helicopter bound for Joinville, where he boarded the presidential plane with his wife Michelle Bolsonaro and daughter Laura.
President Jair Bolsonaro was hospitalized in the early hours of Monday morning. According to reports, Bolsonaro is in the Vila Nova Star Hospital in São Paulo.
The presidential plane landed in São Paulo shortly after 1 AM on Monday.
The presidential delegation reached the hospital, located in southern São Paulo, shortly before 2 AM on Monday, January 3.
The hospitalization was confirmed by medical surgeon Antonio Luiz Macedo, who has been following Bolsonaro since the stabbing in September 2018.
According to Macedo, intestinal obstruction is suspected and the President will undergo tests for an accurate diagnosis.
