Brazil: Paraná state has the best four-month period of its history in exports

The international trade balance of the Brazilian state of Paraná registered the best performance of the first four months of the year in its history.

Exports totaled about US$7.3 billion in the period in 2023, a result 11.2% above the first four months of 2022 (US$6.5 billion) and the highest index of the historical series analyzed by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade of the Federal Government (Secex) since 1997.

The record performance of Paraná was pulled, above all, by the exports of chicken meat, with US$1.3 billion of accumulated exports in the year . . .
