Maduro has told the country’s armed forces to create a militia

Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro has told the country’s armed forces to create a militia. This militia will include farmers, fishers, and producers.

The goal is to defend Venezuela’s independence. Maduro gave these orders at an event in the state of Lara.

He said he wanted a solid militia to defend the land, seas, and rivers.

Maduro stressed the importance of an armed public for assured victory. He asked the military leader to make the militia stronger.

This will help protect Venezuela’s lands. Recently, Venezuela’s military said there have been attempts to disturb peace.

They blame both local and foreign groups, including U.S. Southern Command. These groups allegedly aim to harm Venezuela’s economic growth.

In response, both government supporters and the military have confirmed their commitment to keeping peace and stability in Venezuela.

The formation of this new militia comes at a tense time for Venezuela. The country is facing economic struggles and political instability.

The international community has raised concerns about human rights and democracy in Venezuela.

Amid these challenges, Maduro believes a strong militia can safeguard national sovereignty.

Critics, however, argue that the move could increase tensions and lead to further unrest.
