Mac Jee Tests Bombs Bolstering Brazil’s Defense

In Formosa’s Army Training Field, Mac Jee carried out comprehensive tests on four different aerial munitions.

These bombs were crafted at their advanced facility located in Vale do Paraíba. Among the tested munitions were two variations of the MK-82 bombs, each weighing 500 pounds.

Additionally, they tested the BLU-109 and a substantially heavier MK-84 weighing 2000 pounds.

To gauge the effectiveness and performance of these munitions, Mac Jee employed sand tests.

With specialized engineering tools, they meticulously examined each bomb’s capabilities.

They utilized high-speed cameras to capture the exact moment of detonation and the subsequent explosion effects.

These cameras provided clear visuals of the expanding fireball and the rapidly spreading shockwave.

Brazil’s Army plays a vital role by providing suitable locations for such tests. The Formosa field stands out, boasting a combination of beneficial factors.

It offers vast spaces, favorable weather conditions, efficient logistics, and a team of highly trained personnel.

Alessandra Stefani, the CEO of Mac Jee, emphasized the invaluable assistance of the Army. Their involvement ensures the utmost safety during testing phases.

Moreover, the Army contributes by providing essential feedback. This collaborative approach aims to refine products and bolster Brazil’s defense industry capabilities.

Mac Jee and the Army collaborate closely, aiming for consistent and thorough product testing.

One notable product, a rocket launcher named Armadillo, crafted entirely in Brazil, was also displayed prominently in Formosa.
